Step By Step Tutorial: Sorcerer’s Stone

For the “Last Train to Hogwarts” party at our local library, I’ve been tasked with creating all sorts of arts & crafts goodies.  They will all be indexed on a main post here if you are planning a Harry Potter party of your own.

This tutorial is a super, super simple way to create the infamous Sorcerer’s Stone.  If you use a low temp gun, it can even be done by the kids themselves as a craft project during the party.

Supplies

red acrylic “Ice” gems

hot glue gun (and glue sticks for it, of course!)

Step 1: Gather your supplies

This is a dual temp hot glue gun and I used the hot setting to make the process go faster.  However, either temp will work.

Step 2: Start Gluing

Just glue the pieces together and keep going at random angles until the stone is as big as you want it to be.  I made one large one for display purposes and then two dozen small ones to hand out as party favors.

That’s it!  Let them cool and sit back and admire your fabulous stones!
